Mama Turtle

Imagine my surprise and delight to get out of the car for a cache and discover a snapping turtle laying eggs along side the road! She wasn't excited to see me, but was in her "trance" enough that she wasn't going anywhere either. She hadn't started laying yet, but we didn't have time to stick around and watch. I gave her some space and went to shoot pictures of "bug on a daisy" (keep scrolling to the next pages and you'll find it) If I was planning, I'd put this in some sort of order, but instead it's just shots that I like!
